2008 MUSIC IN THE PARK HIGHLIGHTS

7:00 p.m. every Tuesday night, July 10 through August 7 at Ensley Park in downtown Howard City

Music Schedule:

July 8: Sea Cruisers:
Starting the year with one of our favorites, sit back close your eyes and remember the 50's and 60's thru the music of this group.

July 15: Missy Kay & a Mess 'a Bluegrass:
Local musicians Missy Armstrong, Calder Baker, Terri Grannis, Mike & Sue Crofoot, and Brent Bell enthusiastically encompass the traditional elements of bluegrass, gospel, blues, and even classic "oldies" tunes, while also adding a new twist that keeps audiences tapping their toes. Missy Kay & A Mess 'a Bluegrass . . . no longer West Michigan's hidden treasure, but a gem for all to enjoy.

July 22: Don Middlebrook & Living Soul:
Caribbean style summer music that would make even Jimmy Buffett proud.

July 29: Gettin Picky:
Come out and enjoy our local group from the Great Northern Music Hall.  Kick back and enjoy some of the best Blue Grass and County in the state.

August 5: Bo White & The Bluezers:
Covering the spectrum of popular music: Rock, Classic Rock, Oldies, Big Band and of course Rhythm and Blues.

August 12: The Radiators:
Real County Music!  It's hillbilly country touched with Texas swing and ragtime with Appalachian folk always looming somewhere, close or distant, in the background. The result is a kind of down-home music. The group's sound is resolutely old-school, but it's also uniquely modern.

Rain Schedule: In case of inclement weather the Concerts will be held at the Great Northern Music Hall at 230 E. Edgerton.  So prepare yourselves to enjoy this wonderful opportunity come rain or come shine.

Local service groups will provide concessions and a light dinner opportunity prior to each performance.
