The Village of Howard City received 256 Community Survey responses from the 596 that were mailed to Village property owners, yielding a 43% response rate.

“I am very pleased with the number of surveys that have been submitted,” noted Mark E Rambo, Village Manager “this number alone shows that our residents and business owners are committed to improving the community.”

The survey focused on services, recreational events, general life in the village and a variety of future priorities.

“Although there were many suggestions, the top 3 priorities were: increased business development, more recreational events and the beautification of the downtown, said Rambo “It was nice to see that there was about an 80% approval rating across the board for general questions, village services and existing recreational events.”

“Our main goal is to make Howard City better for our residents, business owners and visitors,” noted Rambo “and these results are a tool to help us improve in the right direction.”
