Police Department Fingerprinting

The Howard City Police Department is now offering Live Scan Applicant Fingerprinting. You may contact the Police Department at (231) 937-4311 to set up an appointment for having your fingerprints taken.

You may download the Fingerprint Application Form here and fill it out prior to your appointment to save you time.

The fee for LiveScan fingerprinting is $70.00, which includes the mandatory State of Michigan and Federal submission fees. Inked fingerprints are no longer accepted by the State or Federal Government and must be submitted electronically.

Applicants MUST bring a state ID or Drivers License and this form with them.

Fingerprints will NOT be printed onto a print card; they will be filed electronically to the State and Federal Government. Those results will be sent directly to the Employer/Agency requiring the fingerprints.

The Village of Howard City does not accept debit or credit cards; payment must be in cash or check before the prints being taken. Checks must be made out to “Village of Howard City”. Persons presenting Non Sufficient Fund checks will be criminally prosecuted.

Please call ahead in advance to verify a time to complete the prints. Some walk in requests can be accommodated.
