Electronics Recycling Coming to Howard City
In cooperation with the Michigan electronics recycler Comprenew, Montcalm County is hosting a free electronics drop-off event at the Howard City Village Office to all Montcalm County residents and businesses April 26-May 16.
Council Meeting Date Changes
The Howard City Village Council has canceled the April 15, 2013 meeting. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be May 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. There will be a work session held at 6:30 p.m. before the May meeting.
Howard City Recycle Site Future in Jeopardy
The Howard City recycle site located in the Leppink’s parking lot is in jeopardy of being closed. According to the Montcalm County Solid Waste office, there has been illegal dumping at the site.
County Treasurer Offers Assistance Through “Step Forward Michigan”
The Montcalm County Treasurer has signed a voluntary agreement with Michigan Homeowner Assistance Nonprofit Housing Corporation, operating under MSDHA, to participate in the Help for Hardest Hit Program. The program is known as Step Forward Michigan.
New Medication Drop Box
A medication disposal box has recently been installed at the Howard City Village Office. There is access to the box during village hall hours.
